Site Visit Fornebu – UFGC

Friday 24th of May about 30 City Changers visit Fornebu. The tour highlighted climate friendly practices establised by  Oslofjord Varme, Telenor, Obos og Fornebu S and the municipality. The site visit was a part of the Urban Future Global Conference.

OBOS –  OBOS is the largest Nordic cooperative building association and the largest developer at Fornebu. Fornebu S -The World’s most sustainable shopping center. A BREEAM certification is a visible proof of the buildings energy- and sustainable qualities and Fornebu S has achieved the highest possible classification in this system. It is not just good economics just because the «electric bill is lower» and the people that work here are more productive, they also have a better indoor air quality, KLP says. Municipality of Bærum – Fornebu is a showcase for sustainable development and has won several national and international awards. Schools, kindergartens and other public buildings are planned and built with high environmental and climate friendly measures, like plus houses.
